JOB SUMMARY:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Interact with supplier and DENSO executives through daily communications, reports, and presentations
- Material Cost Reduction (MCR) projects delivering profitability improvement to business units
- Work with regional suppliers to develop & implement Localization plans for new products
- Review component Design for Manufacturability (DFM) & apply local best practices to current as well as future applications
- Perform technical cost analysis of supplier quotations; identify and implement cost and process improvements
- Onsite GENBA at supplier manufacturing facilities & drive manufacturing improvements thru Supplier Development actions
- Report project schedules & savings achievement versus targets to leadership monthly
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or related technical discipline or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Strong Project Management skills; ability to lead cross functional projects & teams
- Strong knowledge of Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE); proven ability to improve products & processes
- Ability to work with Suppliers; drive improvements with current partner suppliers as well as introduce new strategic suppliers to strengthen competitiveness
- Ability to coordinate Production trials, Quality evaluation & Changeovers directly with manufacturing plants
- Ability to work from DENSO manufacturing facilities as well as Suppliers (10-20% Travel Required)

Annual Salary: $96,000 – $133,000
Responsibilities- Engage in daily communications, reports, and presentations with supplier and DENSO executives.
- Lead Material Cost Reduction (MCR) projects to enhance profitability for our business units.
