The Role

Specialising in providing an unparalleled range of logistical solutions and delivering over 250,000 parts to garages and repair centres throughout Europe, Alliance Automotive Logistics guarantee that garages and fast-fit centres can repair and maintain their customers vehicles as quickly and efficiently as possible.

We are currently looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to join our distribution centre in Sheffield. This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your background in warehousing for those individuals with leadership experience. You'll join a team who work in a fast-paced environment where there are multiple priorities to be managed.

Key responsibilities

As a Warehouse Supervisor your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Supporting the First Line Manager in the management and coaching of warehouse operatives including 1:1's to discuss performance vs expectation, identifying SMART goals, individual development and progression, celebrate success.
  • Work with the First Line Managers to contribute to the recruitment, selection and probationary training of new warehouse operatives.
  • Drive performance on key metrics, ensuring an efficient warehouse operation which can fulfil customer and RDC demand on time and in full.
  • Drive the highest standards of safety on site, working with the HSEF Manager to ensure adherence to all safety routines/procedures (e.g., hazard spotting, Gemba walks, risk assessments, daily safety audits)
  • Review daily and weekly labour plans to ensure cover is adequate, highlighting issues to the First Line Manager.
  • Provide detail when daily/weekly targets are not met and create a plan to bridge any operational gaps.
  • Alongside the warehouse leadership team, you'll partner with other key stakeholders to ensure all strategic activity is on track and supported.
  • Support the successful implementation of culture change and turnover reduction.

Experience

  • Supervisory experience in warehousing, logistics or supply chain (2 years minimum)
  • High potential for people and change management
  • Good IT skills
  • Customer focused approach to operational management
  • Resilient, flexible and approachable
  • Problem solving ability in a fast-paced business.
