Mō te tūranga | About the role

We’re looking for a supervisor to join Fulton Hogan and lead from the front. Reporting to the Department Manager, this role is a mix of office and field work, where you’ll plan and organise work safely, make sure people, plant and materials are ready to go, and help crews deliver good work every day.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll support multiple operational crews, keep standards high, and help get the job done safely, efficiently and to spec. You’ll be trusted to make good calls, back your team, and keep moving work forward. At Fulton Hogan, good work starts at the frontline and so does long-term success.

Ngā tino kawenga mahi | Key role responsibilities

  • Lead crews on site and create a safe, well-organised work environment for our people, subcontractors and the public.
  • Plan and co-ordinate labour, plant and materials to deliver work safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Run pre-starts, manage site risks, follow company processes, and step in to ‘push pause’ when something is not right.
  • Provide clear onsite leadership, support team development, and build strong working relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Deliver quality outcomes on time and to spec, while identifying risks, reporting incidents, and looking for smarter, safer ways to work.

Kei te kimi mātou i tētahi e whai ana i ēnei pūkenga | We’re looking for someone with

  • A current Class 1 licence
  • RAMM knowledge and programming experience
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate and support crews in a practical, hands-on environment.
  • A strong focus on safety, quality, productivity and doing the right thing when it counts.
  • A reliable, team-focused attitude, with good judgement, problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn and grow.

He pai te mahi, he pai ngā painga | Good work, good benefits

At Fulton Hogan, we genuinely care about the wellbeing of our people and giving them the tools and opportunities they need to succeed and grow with us. You’ll have access to:

• Medical insurance and Life insurance after the eligibility period.

• KiwiSaver employer contributions after service milestones, up to 7%.

• Parental leave top up payment with additional return to work support.

• Ongoing training and development, with clear career growth and progression opportunities.

• Great discounts at a wide range of retailers.

Ko wai mātou | About us

At Fulton Hogan, our people are the reason we do good work. We’re flat, friendly and forward moving. That means less ego, more teamwork, and a genuine chance to have a say. We take the work seriously, not ourselves.

Our values drive everything we do: Respect, Energy & Effort, Attitude and Leadership. We back our people to grow, speak up, and look for better ways of doing things. If you want to work with a team that sets high standards, backs each other and gets stuck in, you’ll fit right in here.
