Schedule Details/Additional Information:
Primarily First Shift, Monday through Friday, and may be off hours needed periodically. This is a Blended role with majority work remote/from home and some in-person meetings.
Major Responsibilities:
- Supervises the day-to-day activities of the training specialists to ensure effective and efficient operation of the department.
- Oversees and continuously evaluates the delivery of training for content, standardization, and effectiveness.
- Collaborates with in-scope leaders to provide training and training support, including ad hoc requests and special projects.
- Applies competency models and quality assessments to ensure the effective performance of all training specialists. Oversees the onboarding of new training specialists.
- Carries out training policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with requirements.
- Performs human resources responsibilities for staff which includes coaching on performance, completes performance reviews and overall staff morale. Recommends hiring, compensation changes, promotions, corrective action decisions, and terminations.
- Responsible for understanding and adhering to the organization's Code of Ethical Conduct and for ensuring that personal actions, and the actions of employees supervised, comply with the policies, regulations and laws applicable to the organization's business.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
- None Required.
Education Required:
- Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent knowledge) in Education or related field.
Experience Required:
- Typically requires 3 years of experience in adult education at a lead or senior level that includes experience in implementing training programs.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
- Demonstrated ability to support educational offerings that ensure translation of teaching into action.
- Innovative coaching and counseling skills when dealing with education and development issues.
- Comprehensive evaluation skills for determining skill and knowledge competencies of training specialists and learners.
- Ability to deal and work effectively with multiple departments and in matrix organizational structures. Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or similar products and in electronic health record systems. Ability to quickly learn new software systems as needed.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently with limited guidance or direction. Effective critical thinking, creativity, problem solving and decision-making skills.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Position may require travel which may result in exposure to road and weather hazards.
- Exposed to normal office environment.
- Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
