Position Summary:
The Rehabilitation Services Supervisor will communicate timely, clearly and in a professional manner with staff, patients, patient family members, physicians, and other internal/external customers. The supervisor will demonstrate skills in listening, conflict management, system problem solving, decision-making and process improvement. The supervisor will practice in compliance with professional standards and professional code of ethics.
The supervisor is responsible for assuring that the PNHS values of Head + Heart, Together, are achieved through daily departmental operations. This includes, but is not limited to, direct patient care, professional growth and development, outcome/competency assessment, compliance with regulatory standards (CARF, JCAHO, OSHA, professional organizations, and other regulatory agencies); and participating in process improvements to advance patient care outcomes and satisfaction.
The supervisor serves as a link between team members and upper-level management regarding system wide policies, procedures and events. The supervisor is expected to provide direct patient care in their area of clinical expertise in accordance with determined departmental business need.
Work Schedule: M-F 8am-4:30 & Leader on Call rotation
Required Qualifications:
- Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
- Graduate of an accredited school with a Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate degree
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in clinical profession
- Licensure/Registration/Certification:
- This position requires credentialing, following the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) guidelines.
- Clinical Specialists require national certification in specialty area by professional organization.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
- Minimum of 2 years of administrative/management experience preferred
- Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
- Physical Therapy license
- Recommend membership in related professional organization such as the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), or the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR)
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficient with communication and data processing equipment.
- Proficient in clinical apparatus related to area of expertise.
- Proficient in organization electronic medical record software.
