Primary Function
- Responsible for managing multiple Recovery teams, including the Deficiency Review, and Risk Analyst teams.
- Responsible for managing the Recovery department’s inline testing.
- Responsible for managing relationship with SMS Dispute Team.
- Responsible for managing relationship with SMS Legal Team.
- Responsible for the ongoing monitoring of the internal control environment within Recovery, including evaluating operating procedures, and making recommendations for changes in operations to minimize risk and ensure compliance within the department.
- Responsible for ensuring Recovery procedures are updated as needed and accurately reflect operations.

Principal Duties
- Works with management to develop sound internal controls for the Recovery department.
- Provides ongoing support to the Recovery department to address deficiencies identified in operating procedures and implement changes as needed.
- Ensures that Procedures accurately reflect Recovery Operations and ensures procedure changes are communicated and executed within the department.
- Performs ongoing reviews of high-risk transactions within Recovery to evaluate the effectiveness of the control environment. This includes internal audits performance by the Recovery Risk Analysts.
- Works closely with other departments such as Compliance, Legal, and IT to ensure Recovery implements required system and business changes as needed.
- Works closely with other departments that perform shared services, such as Correspondence and Loan Servicing, to ensure Recovery items are properly handled.
- Participate in various special projects and corporate-level initiatives, as necessary.
- Manages the loan boarding processes as accounts transfer to Latitude.
- Perform personnel managerial duties such as goal setting and tracking, performance monitoring and coaching, ensuring associate engagement, and other typical managerial duties.
- Performs related duties as assigned by management.
Education and Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, required.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferred, in Accounting, Business, or Management.
- 6+ years mortgage servicing experience required, preferably in mortgage and/or post charge-off collections.
- 2+ Years previous Audit experience required.
- 2+ years previous supervisory experience preferred.
- Experience in reading and analyzing documents, including loan documents or servicing/collection agreements.
- Experience with internal company policies and procedures
