Job Description:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production operations, ensuring efficient workflow, high-quality output, and adherence to safety and environmental standards. The role involves leading production teams, optimizing processes, and ensuring production targets are met in line with company objective
The position reports to the Manager Production.
Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate, and monitor daily production activities
Ensure production targets, KPIs, and deadlines are achieved
Optimize workflows to improve efficiency and reduce downtime
Ensure a safe work environment in production according to Sibelco’s safety regulations. Assist the Production Manager to guarantee a Zero Harm approach to operational safety
Conduct safety inspections and incident investigations
Ensure proper use of PPE and safe work practices
Execute operational activities within the budgeted Opex and Capex prescriptions. Raw material, maintenance, energy, FTE and by-products/wastes as main Opex drivers.
Assist Production Manager to meet the yearly COS budget approved by the Management.
Coordinate with maintenance and technical teams to ensure equipment availability
Supervise, coach, and motivate production staff
Conduct shift briefings and ensure clear communication of tasks
Manage staffing levels, shift schedules, and overtime where needed
Support employee development and training programs
Participate in improvement projects and cross-functional initiatives
Track and report production performance metrics
Maintain accurate production records and logs
Report incidents, deviations, and operational issues
About you
3–5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
Higher education in production and administration, approved certificate in the process operator profession or equivalent experience in production, engineering or industrial operations
Leadership experience from industrial production, quarrying or construction operations
Good understanding of industrial production processes
High focus on HSE and safe work culture
Good oral and written presentation skills in Norwegian and English are a requirement
Good computer skills are necessary
Ability to lead with clarity and respect that creates a good and inclusive work environment
