Job Description:

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Develops and oversees comprehensive training plans tailored to the needs of production team members. 

  • Implements training programs that ensure all production employees are proficient in their roles and understand company procedures and safety protocols. 

  • Regularly updates training materials to reflect changes in production processes and industry best practices. 

  • Provides ongoing training and development opportunities for existing production team members, including refresher courses and skill enhancement programs. 

  • Utilizes a variety of training methods (e.g., hands-on training, workshops, e-learning) to cater to different learning needs. 

  • Collaborates with L&D and HR to track and update training completions, records, and certifications. 

  • Assesses the effectiveness of training programs through feedback and performance assessments. 

  • Monitors and evaluates the performance of the team to ensure they meet established standards and metrics. 

  • Identifies areas for improvement and implements corrective actions to enhance training team performance and productivity. 

  • Works closely with the Production Manager and other supervisors to identify training needs and develop strategies to address them. 

  • Communicates effectively with all levels of production to ensure training goals are understood and achieved. 

  • Fosters a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the team. 

  • Maintains accurate records of training activities, attendance, and assessments. 

  • Prepares and submits reports on training outcomes and team performance to management. 

  • Ensures compliance with all company policies and regulatory requirements related to training and safety. 
     

Education and Experience Requirements:  

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a lead or training role. Experience in developing and delivering training programs for production team members. Associates degree in manufacturing, training and development or related field preferred. 

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • Strong knowledge of production processes, equipment, and safety protocols. 

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and motivate a team. 

  • Proven ability to develop effective training materials and programs. 

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess training needs and implement effective solutions. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications. 
     

Work Environment: 

  • This position typically operates in a production or manufacturing environment, which may include exposure to loud noises, heavy machinery, and varying temperatures. 

  • The role may require standing for extended periods and the ability to lift and move training materials or equipment. 

  • Flexibility to work different shifts, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate training schedules. 

  • This role may require occasional travel to other production facilities or training locations.
