The Production Supervisor reports to the Production Manager and is part of the Production Operations team located in West Sacramento, California. This position is an on-site role responsible for leading manufacturing operations and supporting the achievement of Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity objectives.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Develop and maintain a high-performing organization through recruiting, onboarding, training, performance management, coaching, and development of associates. 

  • Lead daily manufacturing operations and collaborate with Operations Leadership to address deviations from specifications, work instructions, performance metrics, and operational priorities.

  • Clearly communicate with outgoing and incoming Production Supervisors to disseminate all relevant information.

  • Contribute to improving manufacturing processes / continuous improvements using Danaher Business System (DBS) tools (such as Daily Management, Kaizen, Problem Solving Process and 4E for safety).

  • Address employee relations and performance concerns through effective coaching, root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.

  • Drive performance against Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity (SQDP) metrics through daily management, problem solving, and continuous improvement activities. Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality and Manufacturing Engineering on immediate and longer-term action plans for misses. 

  • Assure compliance with FDA Quality System Regulations (QSR), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and ISO regulatory requirements. 

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • High school diploma with 8+ years of experience, OR Bachelor's degree (preferably in Business, Science, Engineering, or a related field) with 5+ years of experience, OR Master's degree with 3+ years of experience.
  • Experience utilizing continuous improvement methodologies and structured problem-solving tools to drive operational excellence and waste reduction.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, prioritize actions, and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance, Planning, Supply Chain, and Process Engineering.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment, including responsibility for associate development, performance management, and daily operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining a strong focus on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity (SQDP) metrics.
  • Ability to support off-shift operations, overtime, and occasional weekend work as business needs require.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Experience in an FDA/ISO regulated manufacturing environment

  • Experience in a medical diagnostic device environment

  • Continuous Improvement / Lean / Six-sigma training

The annual salary range for this role is $91,500 to $ 102,000. This is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.

We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
