Job Description:
The Supervisor, Product Engineering Support is responsible for leading a team that provides technical support and engineering coordination services to internal departments across manufacturing, supply chain, warranty, operations, and engineering functions. This role ensures accurate and timely resolution of technical requests, maintains product-related information, and supports operational objectives through effective cross-functional collaboration. The position provides day-to-day leadership, employee development, workload management, and performance oversight while promoting continuous improvement in responsiveness, accuracy, and customer support. The Supervisor, Product Engineering Support serves as a key link between engineering and operational teams to support production efficiency, product quality, and organizational goals.Primary Duties:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the Product Engineering Support team to ensure timely and accurate completion of assigned work.
- Assign priorities, monitor workload distribution, and manage resources to support departmental objectives and internal customer requirements.
- Partner with manufacturing, supply chain, quality, warranty, and engineering teams to resolve technical issues and support operational needs.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and guidance to employees while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Monitor team performance metrics and implement process improvements to enhance response times, service quality, and operational effectiveness.
- Support product-related activities by coordinating technical information, clarifying requirements, and facilitating communication among stakeholders.
- Maintain the integrity and accuracy of product documentation, technical specifications, and engineering-related data.
- Assist with project execution, issue resolution, product changes, and operational initiatives affecting manufacturing and product support activities.
- Support departmental goals through data analysis, reporting, and identification of opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency.
- Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinate responses to technical inquiries from internal departments and ensure timely resolution of support requests.
- Monitor workloads, track open requests, and escalate issues requiring additional resources or leadership support.
- Support onboarding, training, and development activities for new and existing team members.
- Participate in employee performance discussions, goal setting, and corrective action processes in partnership with management and Human Resources.
- Maintain product-related documentation, specifications, bills of materials, and technical records.
- Develop reports and analyze trends related to support activities, product information, and team performance.
- Collaborate with suppliers and external partners regarding product-related technical information and component requirements.
- Assist with product evaluations, testing activities, and field support efforts as required.
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives that enhance team effectiveness and customer service.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Applied Sciences, or a related technical discipline;
- 2+ years of experience in engineering, product support, manufacturing, technical operations, or a related environment; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
- Prior experience leading, supervising, coaching, mentoring, or directing technical employees is preferred.
- Experience supporting manufacturing operations, product engineering, or HVAC-related products is preferred.

- Compliance with all applicable safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Use of personal protective equipment as required when entering production or testing areas.
- Work in a fast-paced environment requiring adaptability, responsiveness, and effective prioritization.
- Occasional travel may be required to support product evaluations, testing activities, supplier visits, or field-related operations.
