The Operations Supervisor will oversee all operations activities within the assigned geographical area. This role is responsible for driver or laborer safety and operational efficiency. This role observes and analyzes the overall efficiency of the department to ensure things are moving smoothly as well as report findings to upper management as needed.

Operations Management:
- Responsible for driver or laborer safety including safety training, safety planning, incident reporting, etc.
- Accountable for scheduling shifts, planning for call-ins/no shows, and reporting department metrics and performance
- Responsible for facility or route optimization and coverage at all times
- Proactively evaluate and perform facility, area or route visits and assessments
- If applicable, evaluate customer support and problem solving to find solutions to customer issues
- Respond positively to unpredictable situations or problems that can occur throughout their work responsibilities
People Management:
- Responsible for leading and supervising laborers or drivers within the assigned facility or geographical area by continually evaluating performance and delivering feedback
- Respond positively to unpredictable situations or problems that can occur throughout work responsibilities
- Set a motivational tone and establish a high degree of optimism focused on employees in the work environment
- High school diploma or GED is required
- 3-5 years of experience as Operations Supervisor, preferably from the waste management, manufacturing or trucking/transportation Industry
- Must have a commercial drivers license (CDL) or willing to obtain one (if supervising drivers)
- Ability to multi-task
- Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
- Must be a self-starter with a strong level of accountability
- Essential to be detailed oriented
- Upbeat and energized to complete tasks with a positive attitude
- Must work well under pressure
- Excellent Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook Software Skills
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the job
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Experience with routine maintenance operations
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus
Physical Demands / Environmental Factors

- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or ask for a “team lift” when required

- Some regional travel may be required
