Job Summary

Must have good working knowledge of Third-Party Logistics (3PL) responsibilities, field requirements for material shipments, delivery requirements, local transportation requirements for pickup of freight, freight charges. Overseas the receiving, storing and shipping of materials for the company. Promotes accurate and timely processing of materials for the Rigs and ensures that orders are tracked accordingly, in cooperation with Logistics providers.

Job Description

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

• Coordinate all freight shipments, domestic and international, ensuring the fastest and safest methods with cost effective results.
• Coordinate special efforts of “urgent air”, hand carry, and “rig down” shipments. Includes weekends and after regular office hours.
• Maintain good communication with the field for all freight consignment notifications and in particular for all urgent consignments.
• Know freight rates and other transportation costs to optimize working costs and keep financial discipline. Check invoices received from 3PL.
• Monitor KPI performance of 2PL/3PL.
• Assist with issues on PO’s and material receipts for all freight shipments.
• Liaise regularly with Rig OMC to coordinate shipments to/from Rig. Participate in daily Rig calls.
• Know basic Import/Export regulation and requirements to allow proper clearance processes with 3PL and monitor 3PL activity. Report any noncompliance for management to review.
• Work with the compliance team on imports and exports.

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Oil and Gas experience and knowledge of Rig materials/equipment.

Experience:

• Minimum Required: 5+ years previous experience in Logistics coordination and some procurement knowledge.
• Preferred Level: Oil and Gas experience and knowledge of Rig material and equipment.

Skills:

• Attention to detail and ability to work well with others,
• Strong time management skills, communication skills and quality management skills.
• Works well with deadlines and under pressure.
• Knowledge of logistics systems with understanding of transportation, Customs limitations and regulations and procurement processes.
