Primary Purpose:
The primary purpose of this position is to lead a team and ensure the responsibilities are performed in accordance with established policies and procedures supporting the Collection and Billpayer Functions within the AR Resale Department. This position will be responsible for driving collection efforts and working on process improvements across collections and billpayer processes. This position will ensure the accurate and timely reporting of all activities within the focus areas. In addition, this role will need to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of work on a daily and quarterly basis. This position requires the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and situations. This position is responsible for analysis and interpretation of data, resolving and escalating issues. This position is responsible for the training, development and management of a team of associates.
Our flexible/ hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office locations include Salisbury, NC , Chicago, IL, Quincy, MA, Carlisle, PA, Scarborough, ME, Hyattsville, MD and Mauldin, SC.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain and review procedures to ensure best practices
  • Own the AR/AP netting collection process
  • Billpayer maintenance
  • Payment Terms analysis
  • Conduct bi-weekly detailed aging reviews of the full portfolio
  • Facilitate Vendor dispute resolution and escalation via engagement with category management and the business
  • Coordinate write offs with the 3rd party collection agency and the negotiation of settlements for legal cases
  • Oversee data flow and process between various departments and 3rd party provider
  • Assist in making key business decisions by providing special analysis
  • Review and approve journal entries and account recs compiled by direct and extended (3rd) party
  • Direct and lead the work of others
  • Establish departmental goals
  • Assist and/or develop budget and forecasts
  • Participate in the development of medium term operational strategy plans
  • Develop and publish consolidated statements/reports
  • Act as a liaison between the department and other areas and brands
  • Provide timely response to non-routine and adhoc reporting and information requests
  • Additional job duties may be assigned as needed to meet the needs of the business and support our Values.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience; 6-8 years' experience
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Team player, able to work collaboratively at all levels and build partnerships with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work well under pressure and able to meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of Excel and Access databases
  • Some travel may be required; up to 10%
  • Experience in working in a corporate environment
  • Strong supervisory skills
  • Requires the ability to work independently on moderately complex assignments
  • Ability to prioritize and escalate issues as appropriate
  • Ability to recognize need for and recommend changes based on interpretation of quantitative analysis
  • Strong customer focus and excellent communication skills - both oral and written
