The House Supervisor will act as the in-house administrative representative and resource person for all patients, staff, staff physicians, and visitors.Patient Care:Works with team members to develop or improve processes to assure a remarkable patient experience. Creates and maintains a healthy work environment that results in improved patient outcomes, retention, and organizational excellence. Collaborates with physicians to develop or improve processes surrounding care of patients. Coordinates the provision of patient care through delegation, problem solving, time management and organizational skills.

 QUALIFICATIONSEducation:

Graduate from an NLNAC accredited School of Nursing required. BSN preferred. Graduate degree preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience required. Management experience preferred. Refer to the Life Support Training Policy for additional details.

Licensure:

Current RN licensure in applicable state required.

Additional Skills/Requirements Required:

Has knowledge, skills, and ability necessary to modify care and interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care according to patient’s age, health, and developmental status. Has demonstrated sound and effective problem-solving and decision-making skills, good interpersonal skills, and good intra and interdepartmental relationships.

PHYSICAL DEMANDSPhysical Demand Code:

Medium to Heavy Physical Demand: The job requires constant standing, frequently walking, and bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills. Attention to detail and ability to write legibly. Ability to lift/push/pull 100 lbs. For any weight over 35 lbs., use Safe Handling Equipment. This job description may not include all assigned duties, responsibilities, or aspects of the job described. It may be amended at any time at the sole discretion of UVA Community Health.

The base compensation range for this role is $38.48 - $62.49 hourly.
 

Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.  Please note that the pay range does not include any applicable incentive compensation programs such as shift differentials, clinical ladders, and other incentives that may be available for those in eligible positions.

Skills Required
