Getting to Know the Opportunity:

The Financial Analyst Summer Intern will spend time analyzing financial data by gaining an in-depth knowledge of invoice processing and cash collection, financial reporting, and internal/external audit work.

The Contributions You'll Make:

  • Perform ongoing operations of the Segment, including cash management and invoice processing.

  • Perform fee mockups for mutual fund contract negotiations process.

  • Prepare ledger entries with a strong control mindset, including SOX processes.

  • Reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data.

  • Assist with preparing reporting and filings as needed.

  • Assist with pulling samples and support for audits.

  • Maintain database by entering, verifying, and backing up data.

  • Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; studying proposed changes in methods and materials.

  • Utilize technology solutions to help enhance existing processes and workflows.

  • Protect operations by keeping financial information confidential.

  • Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications.

  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Preferred Knowledge & Experience:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Accounting or related field.

  • Ability to multi-task and handle deadlines.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Exposure to Corporate Finance, Developing Standards, Quality Management, Cost Accounting, Statistical Analysis, Financial Planning and Strategy, Reporting Research Results, and Requirements Analysis.

  • Knowledge of financial or investment business terms and concepts, either through coursework or a previous internship is highly desirable.

  • Ambitious with the ability to work independently. Attention to detail.

Compensation Pay Disclosure:

Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.

The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.

Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

$20.00/hr USD
