The hiring range for this role is:

This is the lowest to highest salary we, in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. This job is also eligible for annual bonus incentive pay.

This internship is located in Chicago, IL or Washington D.C. This is a hybrid position with 3-4 days in-office.
Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Summer Intern to support our Information Security team. This internship offers hands-on experience detecting and responding to today’s cyber threats, assisting with creating and updating security policies, playbooks and training materials, and supporting project work on the Security Architecture team by researching new solutions and identifying opportunities to improve security. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in cybersecurity, a willingness to learn, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Primary Job Functions

Assist in evaluating and enhancing security operations processes.

Keep management informed about developments within areas of responsibility and handle special projects as needed. 10%

Update critical documentation to protect our people and data assets.

Support the review, update and development of security policies, playbooks and training materials used for our cyber program.

Conduct research on emerging security trends, frameworks, and technologies to support architectural decisions.

Collaborate with security architects and engineers on various security projects.

Participate in security team meetings and contribute to discussions on best practices.

Create a final PowerPoint presentation to share with department leadership, summarizing the internship experience, the assigned project, results, and any recommendations for future use.

Ensure complete confidentiality of company business.

Keep management informed about developments within areas of responsibility and handle special projects as needed.

Education, Experience and Certification
Education
Required:

Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or Information Technology or related field.

Graduation date between December 2025 – June 2026

A minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0

Previous course-work or hands-on experience in security operations, policy writing or security architecture is a plus
