onsemi's East Fishkill (EFK) site is seeking a highly motivated Reliability Testing & Failure Analysis Intern to support reliability engineering activities for semiconductor products. This internship offers hands-on experience in reliability testing, failure analysis, and silicon characterization while working alongside test engineering and reliability engineering teams.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute standard reliability tests using reliability test equipment.
  • Collaborate with test engineering and reliability engineering teams to establish, optimize, and document reliability test methodologies.
  • Perform hands-on testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of reliability test setups and processes.
  • Collect, analyze, and report reliability data from look-ahead silicon and product development activities.
  • Support failure analysis activities, including device characterization, failure isolation, and imaging techniques.
  • Document test procedures, results, and findings to support engineering and product qualification efforts.
  • Present project updates and findings to engineering teams at the conclusion of the internship.

Requirements:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Academic coursework in semiconductor devices, microelectronics, electronics, or related technical subjects.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Interest in semiconductor reliability, device physics, failure analysis, or product engineering.
  • Familiarity with laboratory test equipment and data analysis tools.
  • Experience working on engineering projects, research, or laboratory assignments.

onsemi is excited to share the base salary range for this position is $26.00 -$44.00 per hour exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. The final pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, education, experience, and/or consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
