Job Summary

Iron Mountain is seeking a motivated and analytical Logistics Engineer Intern to join our Warehouse & Logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting solution design for new customer operational designs and implementations and driving operational excellence through data-driven process improvements across our facilities.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will:

  • Support solution design and engineering activities by reviewing data to translate operational criteria into optimized equipment, process, and technology recommendations for new customers.
     

  • Collaborate with the U.S. Operations and Solution Design teams to build automation into current design processes and implement AI recommendations that optimize calculations for warehouse activities.
     

  • Ensure compliance with organizational standards by contributing to Continuous Improvement Programs, analyzing facility layouts, and improving material flow to increase site productivity.
     

What You’ll Bring

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Current enrollment as a rising Senior Graduating May 2028 or December 2028 pursuing a bachelor’s degree only in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or Operations Management.

  • U.S. Citizenship Status: Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application and for the full duration of the internship.

  • Strong knowledge of process improvement methodologies and a high level of comfort with analytics and optimization tools used in logistics and warehouse/distribution centers environments.

  • Proven ability in data analysis and problem-solving, with a focus on translating complex data sets into actionable engineering methods.

  • A proactive mindset with an interest in a long-term career path toward an Analyst role within logistics.

What We Offer
  • Salary details: $28 per hour.

  • Internship Start Dates : June 2, 2027- August 13, 2027 potential for 12 week program extension at end of program.

  • Shifts: Standard business hours (Monday – Friday).

  • Opportunities for continuous learning and professional growth through direct mentorship with the hiring manager.

  • Location: Community internship program model based in Boston, MA but open to Wind Gap, PA; or Atlanta, GA.
