Job Summary:
Exos is a leader in the field of human performance, a category it created more than 20 years ago. And we’ve done it all by pioneering and leveraging sports science and proprietary tools across mindset, nutrition, movement, and recovery.As part of our training system, we collect comprehensive performance data across NFL, NBA, and MLB athletes training at our facilities. The insights gleaned from this data enhance our athlete experiences, improve coaching decisions, and further the field of human performance.
The Exos Sports Science Data Analyst Internship is designed to provide interns the opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills they have gained through their academic experience in a real-world corporate setting. Throughout the program, the interns will become fully immersed in the current research arcs of the company and will be directly involved with tasks and projects that contribute to Exos’s continued growth.
All candidates must be in a program accepting course credit in exchange for an internship experience, as this is an unpaid internship.
Qualifications:
Experience in an analytical field such as statistics, predictive analytics, data science, engineering, applied math, physics, computer science, computer vision, etc
Demonstrated experience with programming languages (e.g., R or Python)
Strong ability to communicate technical ideas to non-technical audiences using data visualization
High-level understanding and passion for sport and human performance
Excellent work ethic and attention to detail
Responsibilities:
Ensure accuracy and quality of data entry
Data handling, data hygiene, databasing, as required.
Statistical modeling, machine learning, and quantitative analysis of a variety of data sources, to enhance athlete evaluations, strategic decision-making, and coaching decisions.
Collaborate with team members to achieve operational tasks and meet deadlines
Present analysis and insights to the Exos Performance Innovation Team in a clear, concise manner through written and visual means.
Internship Logistics:
If selected for this internship experience, you will be asked to:
Find, secure, and fund your own housing for the duration of the internship
Book and fund your travel and relocation (if required) to the location of your internship prior to the start date
Fund all food and transportation costs for the duration of your internship
Provide your own laptop computer
Confirm course credit through school advisor
