Job Summary:**
The Subcontracts Manager will be responsible for the comprehensive management of subcontracting activities for Primoris Energy Services projects in Amarillo, TX. This role ensures timely, cost-effective, and compliant execution of subcontracts, supporting project delivery and operational excellence.
Job Responsibilities:**
* Develop and implement subcontracting strategies aligned with project requirements and company policies.
* Prepare and issue Requests for Proposal (RFPs), bid packages, and other procurement documents.
* Conduct thorough vendor pre-qualifications and evaluations, including financial, technical, and safety assessments.
* Negotiate subcontract terms and conditions, scopes of work, pricing, and schedules to achieve favorable outcomes for Primoris.
* Draft, review, and administer various types of subcontracts, ensuring compliance with legal, contractual, and regulatory requirements.
* Manage subcontract change orders, claims, and disputes, working closely with project teams and legal counsel.
* Monitor subcontractor performance against contractual obligations, schedules, and quality standards.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, fostering a collaborative and professional environment.
* Participate in project reviews and provide regular updates on subcontracting status, risks, and opportunities to project management.
* Ensure all subcontracting activities adhere to Primoris Services Corporation’s safety, ethical, and quality standards.
* Maintain accurate and organized subcontracting documentation and records.
* Collaborate with internal departments such as engineering, project controls, and legal to ensure seamless project execution.
Job Qualifications:**
* Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
* Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in subcontracts management, procurement, or project management within the energy, oil & gas, or heavy industrial construction sectors.
* Proven experience negotiating complex subcontracts with a strong understanding of contract law and terms and conditions.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards relevant to energy services projects.
* Ability to travel as required to project sites or vendor locations.
