Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Subcontract Administrator to join our dynamic procurement team. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing and overseeing the entire subcontracting process, from initial negotiations to contract fulfillment and closure. Your expertise will ensure that all subcontractor relationships are maintained with the highest level of professionalism and compliance, supporting the success of our projects and the growth of our organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors to ensure a stable supply chain and reliable partnerships.
  • Negotiate subcontract terms and conditions to secure favorable agreements and mitigate risks.
  • In support of proposal and contract execution efforts, prepare and issue requests for proposals (RFPs) and requests for quotes (RFQs), to potential subcontractors.
  • Evaluate subcontractor proposals, and quotations to ensure they meet project requirements and are cost-effective.
  • Draft, review, and edit subcontract agreements to ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
  • Coordinate with project management and contracts team to align subcontractor selection with project timelines and budgets.
  • Conduct subcontractor pre-qualification assessments and performance evaluations to ensure adherence to quality standards and contractual obligations.
  • Collaborate with program, contracts, and project controls departments to ensure subcontracts are executed within the framework of regulatory requirements and company policies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Law, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in subcontract administration, procurement, or contract management
  • Proficiency in FAR/DFARs
  • Experience negotiating terms and conditions of subcontracts
  • Strong understanding of the procurement process and supplier management
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with ERP systems, such as Business Central, JAMIS Prime, etc.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Experience working in an approved Purchasing System environment desired.
