Manages all student organizations and student government including fiscal/operational needs and events. Serves as initial contact for MD Student Services triaging all incoming calls and visitors. Manages calendars for Chair of Medical Education, Associate Deans, and Student Service Office.

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The statements described here are intended to describe the general nature of work being performed by people assigned to this position.  They are not intended to be constructed as an all-inclusive list of all responsibilities and duties.  Other duties may be assigned.

1. Manages approximately 50 student organizations including but not limited to: maintaining fiscal compliance, processing reimbursements, working with webpage development to ensure each organization website is accurate and providing staff support as needed.

2. Manages four classes of student government leaders for MD Program. Coordinates with class     leadership for maintaining fiscal compliance, implementing election processes, planning sponsored wellness events, and providing staff support as needed.

3. Initial contact for students, families, faculty and staff interacting with MD Student Services including in person, by phone, email, etc. Assists guests with needs as needed or refers guests to appropriate staff. Maintains professional office presentation of reception area. Provide support for MD events as needed.

4. Primary manager of the Chair of Medical Education and Associate Deans calendars. Maintains online calendars for MD Student Services. Coordinates and processes travel and reimbursement for the Chair and Associate Deans.

5. Serves as DCC for MD Student Services pcard holders in compliance with state regulations.  

6. Maintains WVU E-Commerce system for collecting and depositing funds.

7. Assists with managing of office supplies.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

1. Ability to prioritize and manage several tasks at the same time.

2. Proficiency with office equipment including personal computer, fax/copier/scanner, multi-line phone system, etc.

3. Process financial transactions

4. Build rapport and provide guidance to student leaders. Work professionally with students for event planning and wellness activities.

5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools including Office, Word, and Excel. As well as inter-departmental computer systems such as e*value, WVU STAR system, SOLE, etc.

6. Knowledge of rules and regulations for University procedures, Student Organizations and financial reimbursements.
