Contract Type: Full time, Permanent
Location: University of Huddersfield International Study Centre 
Salary: £23,424.63
The International Study Centre needs an experienced and accomplished Student Experience Support Officer Student Data & Enhancement. The post holder will undertake a variety of tasks including student records, managing and coordinating student attendance, student administration support and provide support to the academic and SMT where necessary.
This is a fast-paced environment and the successful applicant will have proven customer service skills and previous experience of working with international students, possess excellent IT, communication and organisational skills. The post holder will be working in an open plan office, so it is important they enjoy working as part of a team.
ABOUT THE ROLE 
 

  • Creation of both electronic and paper based student files.
  • Ensure student details are kept up to date on central databases – contact details, visa and passport information, sponsorship details etc
  • Work closely with the Student Experience Coordinator – Student Data & Enhancement in monitoring student attendance on a daily basis.
  • Keep student attendance database up to date weekly in keeping with Centre and UKVI requirements
  • Ensuring relevant reports are run form Study Group systems to monitor student attendance
  • Ensuring relevant reports are run from Study Group systems to ensure registers are fully complete to enable attendance to be monitored effectively
  • Work closely with the Student Experience Coordinator – Student Data & Enhancement to establish students who are not engaging with the Centre Attendance Policy
  • To deal with general student enquiries
  • To foster productive relations with internal and external stakeholders
  • Production of student letters as requested
  • Work closely with other teams to ensure student enrolment is running smoothly
  • Any other duties required by the Head of Student Experience

ABOUT YOU: 

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification
  • Experience of events coordination
  • Working in a fast-paced pressurised office environment
  • Experience of working in HE/FE environment (Desirable)
  • Evidence of working with International students (Desirable)
  • Knowledge of working across a variety of complex IT systems
  • Detailed evidence of coordination and organisational skills
  • Administrative skills, including IT skills, confident with Microsoft Excel
