About the role
We are seeking a skilled Behavioral Scientist to join our team on a contractual basis. The primary responsibility of this role is to leverage evidence-based interventions designed for social psychology-related/academic issues into practical tools for our coaching team to use when supporting adult learners in successfully returning to school.
Additionally, the Behavioral Scientist will develop interventions suitable for our marketing and product teams. The ideal candidate will have a background in higher education, experience with adult learners, and a basic understanding of coaching practices.
We are looking for an expert to help complete our patented data system for dynamic learner assessment and adaptive support recommendations to improve enrollment and retention outcomes and make a difference in the lives of adult learners.
Key Responsibilities

  • Learning and Applying our Proprietary Approach
    • We have developed a methodology discrete from existing literature that focuses on key relationships in an adult learner's life and how the health of these affects their ability to re-enroll and succeed in college.

  • Development of Interventions:
    • Find and translate evidence-based interventions aimed at academic and competency challenges into actionable strategies for our coaching team.
    • Conduct literature review, create annotated bibliography, and recommend the best evidence-based practices to support success in making re enrollment decision, returning to school, and successfully completing academic terms.
  • Create and refine these interventions to ensure they are practical and effective for coaching purposes.
  • Multi-Channel Adaptation:
    • Consider and recommend appropriate channels and formats for the interventions, including written content, phone-based interactions, asynchronous communication, and other relevant methods.
    • Ensure that the interventions are adaptable to various formats (video, et al) to enhance accessibility and usability including consideration of individual interventions as steps in a support plan.
  • Collaboration and Integration:
    • Work closely with the marketing and product teams to adapt the interventions for broader use, ensuring alignment with our organizational goals and strategies.
    • Provide insights and recommendations to enhance the effectiveness of the interventions across different platforms and formats.
  • Expertise and Insights:
    • Apply knowledge of higher education and adult learning principles to ensure interventions are tailored to the needs of our target audience.
    • Leverage expertise in coaching to create interventions that support effective coaching practices and improve outcomes.
    • Ideally setting up the individual interventions to also work as a series or system of support plans.

  • Qualifications

    • Educational Background: Advanced degree in Behavioral Science, Psychology, Education, or a related field with a focus on higher education and adult learning.
    • Experience: Proven experience in developing and implementing behavioral interventions, particularly in academic and competency contexts.


    Contract Details

    • Pay : $85-$100 per hour commensurate with experience
    • Duration: We expect this project to be completed by December 15th
    • Hours: Anticipated 40-50 hours total
    • Location: Remote, US
