About this opportunity:
Radio Products China is end-to-end responsible for product development from F0 until maintenance of radio products developed in China. We are approximately 1,000 engineers and developers collaborating mainly between Beijing and Chengdu sites to drive Massive MIMO, Classic and Indoor radio technology leadership and product competitiveness in Hardware, Software and Enclosure areas through early concept study, product systemization, solution design, integration and verification, product introduction and maintenance.
The Structural & Reliability Simulation Engineer contributes to the development of radio products through advanced engineering simulations. The role focuses on multi-physics analysis covering structural mechanics, PCB reliability, environmental conditions, aerodynamic effects, and vibro acoustic behaviour.
What you will do:
- The Developer in Ericsson Radio Products China is responsible for Ericsson Radio / Baseband / 3C products development
- Structural Simulation and evaluate structural stress levels and mechanical margins under different loading conditions and provide simulation-driven insights to support mechanical design optimization and product robustness.
- Perform reliability simulations and analyses to evaluate product robustness throughout the product lifecycle
- Support design improvements to ensure long-term reliability of telecom equipment deployed in demanding outdoor environments
- Perform aerodynamic and environmental simulations for outdoor telecom infrastructure
- Support design improvements related to airflow behavior, environmental loading, and acoustic performance
- Contribute to the development and evolution of internal Simulation Platforms to improve simulation efficiency, model reuse, and engineering workflow automation
- Support the establishment of standardized modeling practices and simulation processes across engineering teams
- Support the development of Digital Twin capabilities for telecom products by integrating simulation models with testing and operational data
- Explore the application of AI and data-driven techniques to engineering simulation, Contribute to the advancement of intelligent and scalable simulation workflows
- Collaborate with mechanical, hardware, thermal, and test engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
The skills you bring:
- Master's or PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Aerospace Engineering or related disciplines
- Relevant experience in simulation or reliability engineering within complex hardware product development
- Experience with simulation tools within the ANSYS ecosystem
- Experience with telecom infrastructure equipment or outdoor electronics is considered beneficial
- Familiarity with reliability standards such as IEC 60068, GR-63, GR-487, IPC, or JEDEC is an advantage.
- Experience with simulation automation, Digital Twin development, or AI-assisted engineering analysis is considered a plus
- Mechanical design experience is considered beneficial
