The Role

Job Description:

Tasks, role & responsibilities:

  • Sizing of aircraft components, parts and assemblies of transmissions and rotors.

  • Structural analysis during design definition and development phases.

  • Trade off analysis for different design solutions.

  • Linear and nonlinear structure analysis with the Finite Element Method (FEM).

  • Analysis and evaluation of structural strength, stability, damage tolerance and fatigue.

  • Providing and reviewing technical documentation.

  • Presenting and reviewing analysis results.

  • Ability to be technical lead of projects to validate assumptions, results and conclusions.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

  • At least 4 years’ experience in the stress department in Aeronautical industry, Automotive or similar. 

  • Experience in structural analysis.

  • Experience in FEM tools (preferably HyperWorks/Simcenter and Nastran/Samcef).

  • Standard stress methods knowledge.

  • Programming skills will be an advantage.

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

  • Good team spirit, autonomy, engaged.

  • Very good command of English (B2 level or higher).

  • German or French will be an advantage.
