We are a global team focused on disciplined capital allocation and long-term value creation for all stakeholders, who care deeply about our impact on communities and the wider world.

This position will be based in our London office with a hybrid schedule that has the option of working two days remotely each week.

Role Purpose:

Drive profitable growth across the International Global Wholesale & Specialty (GWS) business by shaping, executing, and monitoring the divisional strategy. This role serves as the strategic partner for the International GW&S Exec Team and senior underwriting/functional leaders, ensuring that priorities, investments, analytics, and delivery efforts are focused on the highest-value opportunities.

The role acts as the connector between business needs, analytics, operations, and delivery teams to ensure execution is fast, disciplined, and business-led.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Monitor business performance and portfolio trends; translate insights into actionable strategic recommendations.

  • Partner with underwriting, commercial, and finance leaders to identify high-value opportunities and areas requiring corrective action.

2. Performance Monitoring & Analytics Direction

  • Work closely with Business Performance & Analytics to ensure International has the right dashboards, MI, and insight tools to support underwriting, pricing, and business decisions.

  • Define analytics priorities for International aligned to business needs, ensuring timely and fit-for-purpose outputs.

  • Support data-led performance reviews and strategic insights for quarterly business reviews and leadership forums.

3. Investment & Business Case Leadership

  • Evaluate and prioritise International investment requests (technology, data, operations, talent, etc.) and create business cases aligned to the overall GW&S strategy.

  • Partner with Finance, Ops, and AI/Data to ensure investments deliver measurable business value.

4. International Governance & Operating Model

  • Lead the International GW&S Strategy Realisation Board, and partake in relevant management forums (Operating Board, Performance Board, Production Board) to challenge, question, and steer discussions to ensure International perspectives and needs are incorporated.

  • Partner with relevant teams to ensure governance outputs translate into clear action plans for the International business.

5. Transformation, Delivery & Execution

  • Partner with Delivery & Change to ensure International initiatives are properly scoped, resourced, and delivered on time.

  • Ensure priorities reflect International business needs, monitor progress, remove blockers, and escalate issues where needed.

6. Stakeholder Leadership & Collaboration

  • Build strong relationships with underwriting heads, commercial leads, finance partners, operations, AI/Data, IT, and other functions.

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to senior International leaders and the Global Head of Strategy & Transformation.

  • Ensure clear communication of strategy, priorities, and progress across the International team.

Skills, Abilities & Competencies:

As a strategic insurance leader you should have experience in wholesale and specialty markets, ideally with Lloyd’s and/or London Market exposure.

You’ll have a proven track record of shaping and delivering strategy in complex, multi‑jurisdictional environments, with a background in top‑tier consulting or strategic advisory roles advantageous.

With your experience in leading large‑scale transformation, you must bring deep commercial acumen, strong analytical capability, and confidence using data and MI to inform underwriting and pricing decisions.
