Strategy & Program Manager - Finance

As a Strategy & Program Manager - Finance, based in Amsterdam, you will play a key role in shaping how Finance operates and scales globally.

Reporting to the CFO's Chief of Staff, you will work closely with Finance Leadership, as well as teams across Product, Commercial, Operations, and Engineering. Your focus will be on driving Finance strategy into execution through strong operating rhythms, clear prioritization, and impactful cross-functional programs.

You will own core Finance operating rhythms such as OKRs or planning cycles, while also leading strategic initiatives that improve how Finance operates and partners across Adyen.

What you’ll do

  • Lead high-impact Finance programs and cross-functional initiatives from scoping through implementation.
  • Partner with Finance Leadership to translate strategic priorities into clear plans, milestones, and outcomes.
  • Build strong partnerships across Product, Commercial, Operations, and Engineering to drive alignment and execution on shared priorities.
  • Identify roadblocks, dependencies, and opportunities to accelerate execution, helping Finance operate with greater scale, simplicity, and speed.
  • Drive Finance transformation initiatives, including opportunities to leverage AI, automation, and technology to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Coordinate Finance operating rhythms, including OKRs, planning cycles, prioritization reviews, and execution tracking, ensuring visibility, accountability, and follow-through across the organization.

Who you are 

  • You have 5+ years of experience in strategy, consulting, program management, strategy & operations, product management, or a similar role.
  • You have a strong track record of leading complex cross-functional initiatives from idea to implementation.
  • You thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and are comfortable navigating organizational complexity.
  • You combine strategic thinking with a strong bias for execution and getting things done.
  • You have strong analytical skills and use data to inform decisions and measure impact.
  • You are naturally curious and enjoy solving difficult business problems.
  • You have an interest in Finance and are motivated to develop a deep understanding of how Finance organizations operate.
  • You have an affinity for testing/learning different AI tools and are actively applying these tools to automate both your workflow and across a whole team/department. You often think/explore how these tools can transform an entire team. 
  • You have excellent stakeholder management skills and can build trust with leaders and teams across the organization.
  • You are collaborative, pragmatic, and comfortable influencing without authority.
