What You'll Bring:
The Senior Analyst, Strategy & Planning plays a key role in supporting the execution and delivery of the company’s strategic initiatives, with a strong focus on analytical rigor, structured thinking, and high-quality strategic deliverables to support leadership decision-making.
This is a highly hands-on role, requiring excellence in the development and formatting of executive presentations, competitive and market intelligence reports, financial analyses, business cases, and long-term strategic planning materials.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the execution of Strategy & Planning initiatives, ensuring alignment between strategic priorities, financial assumptions, and execution plans.
- Developing and formatting executive-level presentations, strategic decks, competitive intelligence materials, and market analysis reports, following TransUnion’s communication standards.
- Conducting market, industry, and competitive intelligence analyses, including assessment of trends, competitor movements, risks, and growth opportunities.
- Performing market sizing and addressable market assessments (e.g., TAM, SAM, SOM), establishing clear assumptions, methodologies, and logical inferences to support strategic discussions and investment decisions.
- Performing financial and strategic analyses to support decision-making, including business cases, financial models, scenario analyses, and strategic trade-off evaluations.
- Supporting the development, consolidation, and ongoing refinement of the 3-Year Plan (3YP), leveraging prior experience with long-term strategic planning in other organizations.
- Partnering closely with cross-functional teams (Product, Sales, Finance, D&A, Legal, Marketing) to gather inputs, align assumptions, and ensure consistency of strategic narratives, data, and financials.
- Synthesizing complex information into clear, structured, and recommendation-oriented insights for senior leadership forums.
Impact You'll Make:
- Demonstrated experience supporting strategy, planning, or analytical functions in a corporate or consulting environment.
- Strong experience in structuring and formatting executive-ready presentations and strategic materials (advanced PowerPoint skills required).
- Solid analytical and financial skills, including experience with business cases, financial models, and strategic assessments.
- Proven ability to perform market sizing and addressable market analyses, with strong capability to define assumptions, apply structured methodologies, and derive logical inferences from incomplete data.
- Ability to structure complex problems, work with ambiguity, and translate analysis into clear insights and practical recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with comfort interacting with senior stakeholders.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional environments.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Advanced fluency in English.
Desirable, but not mandatory
- Previous experience in strategy, management consulting, corporate strategy, strategic planning, or competitive intelligence.
- Hands-on experience supporting medium- or long-term strategic planning cycles (e.g., 3-year plans / 3YP).
- Experience supporting financial analyses related to investments, partnerships, go-to-market decisions, or M&A initiatives.
- Exposure to data-driven businesses, information solutions, financial services, fintech, or insurance industries.
- Think-Cell experience is a plus.
