Prosper Health is on a mission to make life happier and healthier for autistic and neurodivergent adults.

Despite autism diagnoses increasing more than 5x in the past 25 years, autistic adults have been systematically overlooked. This has led to extremely poor outcomes, including high rates of co-occurring mental health conditions and a lower life expectancy. Prosper is here to change that.

We deliver specialized mental health services for autistic adults, covered by insurance. We've helped tens of thousands of people receive an autism diagnosis for the first time, work with neurodivergent-affirming therapists, and find belonging through community. Our outcomes meaningfully outperform traditional care for autistic adults, with substantially greater improvements in mood, anxiety, and quality of life.

Prosper is growing 3x year over year and is at mid-double-digit millions in run-rate revenue, with thousands of active clients and 1,000+ clinicians. We're a high-ownership, mission-driven team, building something that has never existed for autistic and neurodivergent adults.

About the Role

Prosper is building the healthcare home for autistic and neurodivergent adults, a population that has long been underserved. Insurance coverage is one of the biggest factors in whether people can access our care, and we have a major untapped opportunity to bring Prosper in-network with more health plans and to deepen those partnerships.

As our Strategy & Operations Lead, Commercial and Payer Partnerships, you’ll work with our Head of Commercial and Payer Partnerships to own that opportunity end-to-end. You’ll build and run our strategy for contracting with regional health plans, prioritizing which plans to target, communicating Prosper's value proposition, and negotiating agreements. You'll also own key areas of our overall commercial strategy, from how we market Prosper to payers to how we think about entering new lines of business. You'll be involved in every step of building out the commercial function for one of the fastest-growing companies in healthcare services.

You’ll thrive here if you’re a structured thinker who loves building relationships, wants to own outcomes, and is excited to build new processes, not just manage ones someone else designed. You likely bring a mix of consulting and healthcare services experience, and you’re excited to apply that toolkit to expand access to care and drive better healthcare outcomes.

Success in this role means:

  • Prosper is in-network with a growing set of regional and state health plans, opening care to millions more members
  • Prosper is building deeper and more strategic relationships with health plans that drive greater value for both sides
  • Payers know who Prosper is and why our care model matters for their members
  • Our commercial engine is becoming more scalable, with processes that efficiently support go-to-market and partner success as Prosper scales to 50 states
Key Responsibilities
  • Win new payer contracts. Build and execute our strategy for regional health plans. Prioritize targets by size of opportunity, partner with Prosper leadership to identify contracts, run outreach, lead partnership discussions and negotiate agreements at competitive rates.
  • Strengthen our value proposition. Work with our clinical and clinical operations teams to execute and build on our clinical quality strategy.
  • Build payer awareness. Work with Prosper leadership to identify efficient, high-ROI strategies for raising awareness, including by borrowing best practices from peer companies.
  • Deepen existing partnerships. Stand up a lightweight partner success model (reporting, regular check-ins, joint operating committees) and help scale it across partners.
  • Make new payers work operationally. Partner with Product and Operations to build processes for seamlessly launching new payer partnerships.
  • Scope what’s next. Evaluate new growth channels, such as Medicaid and direct-to-employer, as Prosper expands.
About You
  • 3–6 years of experience, ideally a mix of management consulting and a healthcare services or health tech company. Partner-facing experience (BD, partnerships, partner success or growth) is a plus. Payer experience is helpful but not required.
  • Extreme ownership. You build your own plans, set your own deadlines and follow up without reminders. You measure yourself on contracts signed, not activity.
  • First-principles thinker. You break problems into the parts that matter, use data and clear reasoning to prioritize, and don’t copy a playbook just because it worked elsewhere.
  • Resilient and resourceful. You use ingenuity, scrappiness and persistence to get deals done, even when payer timelines are slow and the first answer is no.
  • Executive presence. You can run a call alone with a VP-level payer stakeholder and build trust quickly.
  • Highly organized. You build systems to manage and prioritize many workstreams and relationships at once, without anything falling through the cracks.
  • Healthcare services fluency. You understand, or are eager to learn quickly, how payers work, including what drives both the organization and the individual teams you work with.

More about Prosper Health
  • Our culture is a unique mix of thoughtfulness, kindness, and high performance. We set ambitious goals and hold ourselves accountable to achieving them.

  • Here are a few of our favorite operating principles:
    • Clients First - Our job is to solve real problems for our clients. Choose what makes life better for the client, even if it’s harder for us. Never lose sight of the person on the other side.
    • Find a Way - We use ingenuity, scrappiness, and determination to bend the world to accomplish our goals. We’re resourceful and do more with less.
    • Raise the Bar - We grow deliberately, by asking how things can improve and by giving and seeking feedback. We insist on the highest standards and keep pushing them higher.
    • Be a Good Person - Be kind, be honest, and make it fun to work here. Tell the truth even when it’s uncomfortable. Treat people with respect and go out of your way to do nice things for your teammates.

Skills Required

  • 3-6 years of professional experience
  • Experience ideally combining management consulting and healthcare services or health technology
  • Ability to build plans, set deadlines, follow up independently, and own outcomes
  • Strong first-principles problem-solving and data-driven prioritization
  • Resilience, resourcefulness, ingenuity, and persistence in deal execution
  • Executive presence and ability to build trust with VP-level payer stakeholders
  • Highly organized, with ability to manage multiple workstreams and relationships
  • Healthcare services fluency or ability to learn payer operations quickly
  • Partner-facing experience in business development, partnerships, partner success, or growth
  • Payer experience
