POSITION SUMMARY
The Strategy Officer supports the Director, Strategy and Planning in driving the translation of Harvesters International Christian Centre's vision into clear, actionable, and measurable plans across the organisation's Ministry, Growth/Enterprise, Harvesters African Foundation (HAF), and Campus Expansion initiatives. Working closely with Central and Campus leadership, the Strategy Officer coordinates the planning, tracking, and reporting of strategic initiatives, ensuring that execution stays aligned with HICC's mission and long-term growth objectives across all campuses.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Strategic Planning and Execution
• Support the formulation, review, and execution monitoring of HICC's short, medium, and long-term strategic plans.
• Coordinate strategic initiatives across the Ministry Initiative, Growth/Enterprise Initiative, Harvesters African Foundation, Harvesters Music School, Campus Expansion, College Plant, and Regional Group workstreams.
• Translate the Director's and Executive Leadership's strategic priorities into actionable plans, timelines, and measurable targets for Central and Campus teams.
• Support the annual strategy sessions and planning exercises, including preparation of materials and follow-up on agreed action points.

2. Performance Monitoring and Reporting
• Track implementation of approved strategic initiatives and provide periodic progress reports to the Director, Strategy and Planning.
• Develop and maintain strategic dashboards and scorecards for monitoring initiative performance across campuses.
• Conduct research and analysis on ministry growth trends, community needs, and comparable organisations to identify strategic opportunities and risks.
• Flag implementation gaps or delays early and recommend corrective actions.

3. Stakeholder and Cross-Functional Coordination
• Facilitate strategy sessions, planning meetings, and review discussions with Ministry Initiative Leads, Campus Pastors, and Central departments.
• Work with Church Ministry, Attraction, Spiritual Development, Next Gen, Young Adult Ministry, and Operations teams to translate strategic priorities into implementation plans.
• Serve as a liaison between the Strategy and Planning office and Campus or Regional leads on initiative delivery.
4. Governance and Continuous Improvement
• Support the development of frameworks and Standard Operating Procedures for strategic planning and initiative tracking.
• Ensure strategic planning activities are backed by sound data, rigorous analysis, and effective cross-functional collaboration.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director, Strategy and Planning.





Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Project Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in strategy, corporate planning, project coordination, or business transformation, ideally within a church, non-profit, or corporate setting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret operational and performance data.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Skills Required
