At Medtronic you can begin a life-long career of exploration and innovation, while helping champion healthcare access and equity for all. You’ll lead with purpose, breaking down barriers to innovation in a more connected, compassionate world.
A Day in the LifeAt Medtronic, we are driven by a singular mission: to alleviate pain, restore health, and extend life. As a global leader in medical technology, we partner with healthcare systems to deliver innovative solutions across the full continuum of care. Our Coronary, Renal Denervation & CathWorks (CRDN) division offers a differentiated portfolio of therapies and diagnostics transforming the treatment of coronary artery disease, resistant hypertension, and hemodynamic assessment. This is an internally focused, enabling role at the heart of the CRDN commercial organisation in Benelux and Nordics. Strategy and Commercial Intelligence Specialist Benelux & Nordic works closely with regional sales, marketing, clinical, and leadership teams to sharpen commercial decision-making, drive tender excellence, and deliver the market intelligence that keeps Medtronic ahead of the competition. Rather than managing a customer territory, this role elevates the performance of the entire CRDN team — building the tools, insights, and processes that allow the business to grow with greater speed and precision. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, deeply organised, and fluent in AI tools that multiply their impact.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Serve as the primary market intelligence resource for the CRDN regional team, delivering structured, actionable insights on competitor activity, pricing dynamics, clinical developments, and reimbursement trends across the Benelux and Nordic markets
- Design and maintain intelligence frameworks and dashboards that provide commercial leadership with a clear, continuously updated view of the regional landscape across coronary, renal denervation, and CathWorks segments
- Own the end-to-end regional tender process, coordinating cross-functional input from sales, marketing, clinical, legal, and finance to deliver high-quality, on-time submissions
- Build and continuously improve a centralised tender library, including modular response templates, clinical evidence summaries, health economic arguments, and pricing frameworks that raise the quality and speed of every submission
- Conduct post-tender reviews and win/loss analysis to identify improvement areas, refine future strategies, and maintain a forward-looking tender calendar across the region
- Lead the adoption of AI-powered workflows within the CRDN team — identifying high-value use cases, building repeatable processes, and championing tools that improve the speed and quality of commercial output
- Support strategic planning cycles by preparing market sizing analyses, competitive positioning assessments, and business case frameworks for regional and EMEA leadership
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced analytical qualification is a plus
- 3–6 years of experience in a commercial, strategy, or business intelligence role within medical devices, MedTech, or a related healthcare industry
- Understanding of healthcare procurement and reimbursement systems in Benelux and/or Nordic regions including tender management across Benelux or Nordic markets
- Strong background in market intelligence or competitive analysis or strategic commercial roles, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations
- Advanced proficiency with AI tools and a track record of applying them to improve the speed and quality of commercial work
- Highly organised and process-driven, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously and deliver reliably under deadline pressure
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Dutch, French, or a Nordic language is an advantage
