As Strategic Sourcing Senior Specialist HR Services you are responsible for strategically managing of all HR Services sourcing related activities– including negotiating agreements that optimize the total value for PPG in compliance with established purchasing policies. You will also be responsible for overseeing projects and supplier relationships and support the execution of Global strategies, conduct RFPs, lead the selection of suppliers and monitor compliance.
Support to the Global Sourcing Manager in the HR Services will be part of the job scope. This will mean the assistance in data gathering, engagement and execution in European & Global projects. You will be based out of the Pittsburgh General Office and report to the Strategic Sourcing Senior Manager
Responsibilities:
- Support Global Sourcing Manager in HR Services in strategy preparation and execution. Drive the implementation of strategy related projects.
- Provide support and direction for stakeholders and procurement team and where applicable drive and influence best practices.
- Prepare annual project planning to align the countries and region. Drive the implementation.
- Identify and implement solutions to ensure incremental cost reductions and cost avoidance opportunities through category knowledge by researching and understanding industry trends at the country and regional level.
- Work closely with the relevant teams in each country to assess, optimize and implement bid projects that align with functional team and other key functions strategic roadmap.
- Develop communication reviews with the main stakeholders, reviewing critical suppliers, upcoming projects and an understanding of the forward business needs.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Utilize various purchasing electronic tools including spend management software to submit RFIs, RFPs, Dutch auctions and reverse auctions to strategically source suppliers.
- Foster and utilize world class purchasing practices that comply with all PPG’s Corporate Purchasing Policies.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of prior purchasing, marketing, commercial, HR or negotiations experience.
- Bachelor's degree, relevant procurement qualifications or direct work experience in the field.
