Job Description:

As a part of the Procurement Team, the Strategic Sourcing Manager role will empower you to own end-to-end sourcing strategies for assigned spend categories—from opportunity identification and market analysis through supplier selection, contracting, and savings realization. You will partner closely with Operations, Engineering, and Finance to drive total cost of ownership improvements while maintaining quality, service, and continuity of supply.

Your Impact in This Role

As a Strategic Sourcing Manager, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Lead strategic sourcing activities for assigned categories of spend, delivering measurable cost reductions while maintaining or improving quality, service levels, and security of supply
  • Develop and execute competitive sourcing and category strategies based on market analysis, scenario‑based planning, and supplier positioning
  • Prepare and run tenders, negotiations, and contracting processes in line with business requirements, internal governance, and Sibelco values
  • Structure sourcing strategies and contracts with an emphasis on flexibility, optionality, and risk mitigation, avoiding unnecessary rigidity (e.g. fixed volumes or take‑or‑pay clauses where not justified)
  • Manage strategic supplier relationships in line with category strategies, including senior‑to‑senior engagement where required
  • Monitor market trends, supplier dynamics, cost drivers, and innovation to continuously challenge existing sourcing models
  • Act as the procurement focal point for the sub‑region on strategic sourcing topics, ensuring alignment with business stakeholders and corporate functions

What You Bring to the Table

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Engineering, Business or related field; - or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 5–8 years of strategic sourcing experience, including category management in industrial, manufacturing, mining/minerals, or recycling environments 
  • 2+ years of experience leading procurement teams, driving collaboration with stakeholders at global, regional and local levels 
  • Demonstrated success in cost savings, supplier performance improvement, and contract compliance 
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Power BI for procurement analytics and dashboards 
  • Experience supporting multi-site operations across North America

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Engineering, Business or related field or equivalent experience
