Job Description:
The Strategic Sourcing Leader will oversee and support assigned categories and supply chain operations to ensure timely customer order fulfillment and optimize working capital, while leading multiple productivity and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner cross functionally to manage, develop, lead, and track productivity project deliverables to ensure timely implementation.
- Execute cost reduction strategies and projects through supplier relationship management, driving supply chain team member collaboration across divisions, leveraging analytics tools, and establishing best-in-class sourcing strategies.
- Collaborate on and execute commodity strategies in consideration of engineer requirements, cost reduction targets, cost avoidance opportunities, and product requirements.
- Plan, manage and coordinate all activities related to the sourcing of necessary materials and supplies needed to meet platform requirements for production and new product development.
- Initiate and participate in events to identify and implement process improvements, including process checks to ensure daily standard work is being completed and meeting business needs of on-time, quality, and cost.
- Implement supply chain tools and processes that continuously drive out non-value activity for the supply chain team, internal/external customers, and suppliers. Continuously find ways to move from tactical type activities to strategic activities.
- Analyze supply chain data and performance in order to drive solutions and actions required to meet or exceed targets.
- Coach, train, and develop cross functional team members to ensure facility, department, and product management goals are aligned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or relevant experience commensurate with the role.
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive supply chain responsibility.
- Control Panel, Electronics, and/or mechanical procurement or sourcing experience is a plus.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of ERP system.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to travel up to 50% to sites and/or suppliers.
