Position Summary
Purpose of the roleThis role sits within the European Office HR team (IRO) and primarily focuses on providing strategic research and market intelligence to support IRO activities across Europe.
The role will analyse industry and market trends, identify key professionals and organisations across strategic sectors, and develop market insights and networks to support IRO's long-term strategic initiatives.
Role and Responsibilities
Your Key Responsibilities
Strategic Research & Market Intelligence (80%)
Conduct regular research and analysis of European market dynamics, including business, technology and industry trends, to provide relevant market intelligence and insights.
Research and map key organisations, industries and senior-level professionals across Europe in strategic focus areas, including technology, engineering and business development.
Develop and maintain structured market maps and research databases to support ongoing and future strategic initiatives.
Build and maintain professional networks across relevant industries, universities, research institutions and professional communities.
Monitor developments within key organisations and industries and provide relevant insights on market movements and professional trends.
Administrative assistance to IRO team (20%)
Provide administrative and coordination support for IRO's research and engagement activities.
Support expense management, vendor coordination and other administrative activities related to IRO operations.
Provide ad hoc operational support to ensure the efficient management of IRO activities.
Miscellaneous
Complete all assigned work accurately, thorough, and timely, demonstrating a sound understanding of responsibilities.
What we need for this role
To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes:
Fluency in Korean and English (both written and verbal).
Experience of working in a multicultural environment.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to interpret market and industry information.
A business-first approach, with the ability to understand business priorities and translate them into focused research activities.
Demonstrated task prioritisation and organisational capability.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential, along with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word.
What does success look like?
Within the first 6 months, the successful candidate should have developed a strong understanding of IRO’s strategic focus areas and established effective research processes and internal networks. They should be able to independently conduct market and industry research, develop structured market maps and provide relevant insights to support IRO’s strategic activities
