About the job
As a Strategic Purchaser, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing a supplier network of over 70 partners, representing a spend of more than 100 million DKK annually.
Your focus will be on ensuring stability in deliveries to our factory and distribution center — without compromising on sustainability, safety, quality, delivery, or cost. This role operates both strategically and tactically, requiring you to actively shape supplier performance while aligning with our long-term business goals.
Key responsibilities:
- Optimize supplier performance across cost, quality, delivery, safety, and sustainability.
- Manage procurement strategies for a diverse supplier base exceeding 70 partners.
- Ensure continuity and reliability of supply for our production and distribution operations.
- Foster strong supplier relationships and build a culture of continuous improvement.
- Drive initiatives that elevate the overall customer experience.
The position will be based in Kolding, Denmark. You will be a part of the Strategic Sourcing team of 15 persons, where respect, dedication, teamplay and exploration is key in our daily work. We expect travel activity to be approximately 20-30 days a year.
Who you are
You are a self-driven and structured procurement professional who knows how to prioritize tasks and projects for maximum impact. You work confidently with local stakeholders in R&D and production and communicate clearly to build strong, effective relationships. You take ownership of your work, regularly reflect and adjust, and are motivated by personal and professional growth.
What you know
- You bring 5-10 years of experience in a strategic procurement or sourcing role.
- You are skilled in PPAP & Lean Six Sigma tools, and have used them to drive measurable improvements.
- You have a strong foundation in negotiation and contract management, with a focus on total cost analysis perspective.
- You're comfortable analyzing data to guide decision-making and supplier evaluations.
- You understand how procurement impacts the broader business — from operational efficiency to customer satisfaction.
- You communicate fluently in English, both written and spoken.
