The Opportunity:
We're seeking an exceptional Principal Program Manager to join our Business Insights team and lead the pioneering development of next-generation Business Insights applications within the Dynatrace platform ecosystem, focusing on Data & AI products. You'll orchestrate the planning, execution, and delivery of complex AI and analytics programs that span multiple teams and technologies. You'll ensure that strategy becomes reality - on time, on scope, and with excellence - by building the systems, processes, and collaboration needed to execute at scale.
Your Mission
  • Lead program governance for data and AI initiatives, building and maintaining integrated delivery plans, milestones, and risk frameworks.
  • Align cross-functional execution across Data Science, Engineering, and Product Management teams to ensure predictable, high-quality outcomes.
  • Own the success metrics, track adoption and performance, and continuously iterate based on evidence and feedback.
  • Communicate strategy, progress, and results to executive and stakeholder audiences, influencing investment decisions.
  • Identify dependencies, manage risks and trade-offs, and proactively remove delivery blockers.
  • Establish clear operating rhythms, documentation standards, and communication cadences that allow transparency and accountability.
  • Coordinate release and rollout. Partner with technical leads to validate scope, capacity, and resourcing for AI/ML development and platform evolution.
  • Maintain program dashboards and progress metrics for leadership visibility, surfacing issues early, and proposing corrective actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement in delivery processes, tooling, and sharing knowledge across Insights.

Minimum Requirements:
  • 10 years in program, project, or technical operations leadership for large-scale data or AI initiatives.

Preferred Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of data platform architecture, model deployment pipelines, and cloud-based software delivery.
  • Expertise in program governance, dependency management, and risk mitigation across distributed teams.
  • Proven ability to influence without authority, fostering alignment between technical and business stakeholders.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills, balancing attention to detail with strategic foresight.
  • Systems thinker with a passion for building repeatable, scalable delivery frameworks.
  • Background in observability, monitoring, or analytics platforms.
  • Certifications like the Project Management Professional (PMP) is a plus.

Additional Information:
  • This is a hybrid role in principle, but can be fully remote for employees living far from our hubs
  • Open to candidates in the EMEA region with a preference for major tech hubs
  • Domestic and international travel for in-office collaboration, conferences, and team meetings (approximately 10-20% of time)
  • English is the primary working language
  • Relocation support available for the right candidate
