About the teamThe Risk Program Management Office is a unique role that sits at the intersection of Operations, Go To Market (GTM), and Risk Compliance teams. Our mission is to enable users to seamlessly meet evolving compliance standards in a complex regulatory environment by bringing the right set of cross-functional stakeholders to enable their success. As an enablement function, we work with many teams including Operations, Product, Eng, GTM, and others.
We are expanding our scope into one of Stripe's most consequential strategic priorities and launching in new markets. This work is new, fast-moving, and high-ambiguity — and we're looking for someone who thrives in exactly that environment. If you enjoy working on high-impact projects on a global scale, building programs from the ground up, and operating at the intersection of compliance, strategy, and execution — you'll love this role.
What you’ll doNew Markets Program Management
- Own end-to-end program management for new markets across Stripe's roadmap, focusing on Americas and EMEA region
- Drive operational readiness across workstreams, tracking milestones, surfacing risks, and unblocking dependencies
- Navigate high ambiguity — this is a 0→1 space where you will be expected to figure out the right approach, not wait for one to be handed to you
- Build repeatable frameworks, playbooks, and reporting standards to support a growing and complex portfolio of markets
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Represent our team in senior level conversations across Stripe and have high judgment and accountability
- Provide critical coordination across Risk teams (Ops, Product, Eng, Strategy, and others) to ensure alignment and execution
- Partner closely with stakeholders to maintain momentum across a fast-moving roadmap
- Facilitate alignment across teams with competing priorities, resolve ambiguity, and ensure clear ownership at every stage of execution
Operations
- Identify operational impact, gap assessment, and other operational considerations to launch in new markets
- Ensure operational readiness across complex portfolio of programs, including forecasting, monitoring, and last-mile execution
- Maintain high operational rigor and execution discipline
We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.
Minimum requirements
- 8+ years of experience in a high-performance environment, managing complex, cross-functional programs or initiatives

- Strong cross-functional leadership, with experience aligning Product, Eng, GTM, and Operations teams toward shared goals
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write sharp 1-pagers and present credibly to senior audiences
- AI fluency — you actively use AI tools to accelerate your work and can clearly articulate how and where you apply them
- Experience working across global teams and time zones, including flexibility to join calls outside standard US business hours as needed

- Prior experience at a technology company; fintech or payments experience is a plus
