We are seeking a forward-thinking Strategic Procurement Manager (IT-Hardware and Telecommunication Services) to lead strategic sourcing initiatives and support the day-to-day operational purchasing functions within our rapidly evolving digital landscape. This critical position will drive innovation, AI adoption, and digital transformation through effective collaboration with stakeholders and establishing high-performing supplier partnerships. 

Your contribution:

  • Lead both Direct and Indirect IT spending, concentrating on IT hardware (servers, user-client PCs, laptops, networking, IT-security hardware, and licenses) as well as Telecommunication Services. Ensure that procurement practices align with strategic business initiatives and enhance efficiency across all departments. 

  • Oversee and support procurement processes, ensuring effective execution and alignment with strategic initiatives while managing and enhancing purchasing processes from initial offer to product delivery. 

  • Collaborate closely with product management, sales, internal IT, and other business units to align procurement strategies with overall business objectives, building trustful relationships with senior stakeholders. 

  • Lead end-to-end sourcing processes, translating business needs into effective strategies. Conduct tenders and negotiate favorable terms with local and international suppliers, ensuring compliance with company standards. 

  • Regularly analyze purchasing metrics to present clear recommendations, managing strategic supplier relationships and leveraging extensive experience to negotiate high-value contracts that foster long-term partnerships and drive innovation and growth. 

What you bring along:

  • Several years of procurement experience, preferably in the healthcare sector, with focus on IT hardware; experience in telecommunications is an advantage
  • Strong expertise in SAP MM (ECC 6.0 and/or S/4HANA) and advanced skills in MS Excel, along with confident use of the Office365 suite. 
  • Demonstrated expertise in negotiating large-scale contracts and successfully executing strategic projects with renowned vendors of server, computer, networking, and printing equipment, including Dell, IBM, HPE, Cisco, Lenovo, and others. 
  • Strong solution-oriented and outgoing personality, capable of engaging daily with internal leaders to effectively optimize global procurement strategies. 
  • Completed degree in business administration or IT, with full professional proficiency in English and upper-intermediate proficiency in German; additional languages are a plus. Strong analytical abilities and familiarity with procurement management systems are also beneficial.
