  • The Strategic Pricing Lead leads pricing strategy, cost estimating, and financial analysis activities for competitive government pursuits, contract modifications, and strategic business opportunities within the Advance Training Solutions business line. This role serves as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, business development, capture teams, program management, and contracts, providing compliant, competitive, and financially sound pricing solutions that support company growth objectives.
  • The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in government contracting, proposal pricing, financial modeling, FAR/DFARS compliance, and strategic business analysis. The position requires strong leadership capabilities, experience managing complex proposals, mentoring, and influencing business decisions across a matrixed organization.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead development of pricing strategies for domestic and international government opportunities, including competitive bids, sole-source proposals, modifications, and task orders.
  • Provide financial guidance to executives, capture managers, and business development teams throughout the pursuit lifecycle.
  • Develop pricing approaches that balance competitiveness, profitability, execution risk, and customer affordability.
  •  Conduct sensitivity analyses, "what-if" scenarios, and competitive assessments to support bid decisions and executive reviews.
  • Direct preparation of complex cost proposals and cost volumes in compliance with customer requirements and government regulations.
  • Develop, review, and approve detailed cost models, labor estimates, indirect rate applications, and pricing narratives.
  • Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), company Disclosure Statement requirements, and internal estimating policies.
  • Lead Basis of Estimate (BOE) development and validation activities with technical, operational, and program teams.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Years of experience – 10+ years of progressive experience in government contract pricing, cost estimating, program finance, or financial planning and analysis.
  • Degree – Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.
  • Certifications - Cost Account Director (CAM) Certification
  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance, Active Secret Clearance preferred
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex government proposals exceeding $500M in value.
  • Extensive knowledge of: FAR, DFARS, Cost Accounting Standards (CAS); Government proposal compliance requirements; Cost reimbursement, fixed-price, and hybrid contract structures
  • Advanced financial modeling and Excel skills.
  • Experience supporting executive-level pricing reviews and business decisions.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to create collaboration among Engineering, Program Management, Business Development, and Integrated Supply Chain groups.  Ability to communicate effectively verbally with both internal and external customers including the creation and presentation of Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint charts for face-to-face and remote meetings.
  • Experience supporting DoD, U.S. Air Force, Army, Navy, SOCOM, or international defense customers.
  • Experience implementing pricing process improvements and estimating system enhancements.

Cubic Pay Range:

$156,000.00 - $171,000.00 + benefits.

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
