The Opportunity

The Strategic Insights Lead is a cornerstone for business decision-making, and they will be responsible for developing a comprehensive insights strategy and supervising the execution of market research projects for the Roche Pharma portfolio in CCAV. This leader will also integrate primary market research results with other data sources to derive key insights that inform commercial and medical strategies for Therapeutic Areas and Ecosystems.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead an insights strategy to generate actionable insights for business growth and high-impact decision-making.

  • Design and manage market research strategies and projects for key business decisions, including market dynamics and brand perception.

  • Transform insights into actionable recommendations by collaborating with Squads, Ecosystems, and other Functional Areas.

  • Provide competitive intelligence from secondary sources to support therapeutic areas in strategy design.

  • Ensure market research activities follow proper guidelines and communicate findings effectively to cross-functional and leadership teams.

  • Identify and engage qualified suppliers for market research studies, ensuring compliance with company standards.

  • Coach, mentor, and develop Customer Insights Specialists while promoting a customer-centric and data-driven decision-making culture.

  • This leader should be comfortable presenting market reports and market research results to different audiences, including members of the executive team, and should apply strong communication and presentation skills.

Who you are

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Marketing, Statistics or Psychology, Behavioral / Decision Sciences, or similar

  • 8+ years in marketing, consulting, business strategy, planning, or analytics. 

  • 8+ years’ experience in market research and insights (Client-side experience is a plus) and demonstrated ability to translate insights into actionable recommendations.

  • 5 years of experience leading teams as a line manager.

  • A proven history of working and delivering on multiple projects simultaneously, with tight deadlines and changing priorities is required, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Experience managing external agencies to become trusted business partners; providing insights that drive business value.

  • Experience designing and conducting qualitative and quantitative research projects (e.g. consumer segmentation, brand tracking, pricing, packaging, advertising, concept product testing, focus groups, ethnographies, decision journey, market sizing, NPS/CSAT, etc.)

  • Advanced English level (verbal and written).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, in particular the ability to summarize results for senior management.

  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills, and ability to work effectively with all levels of business team management.
