The Role
Supports the Transformation team across multiple strategic initiatives by maintaining project trackers, validating and interpreting data, testing hypotheses, drafting executive materials, coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders and vendors, tracking action items, and identifying dependencies across workstreams. The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to reprioritize across concurrent projects.

Driven to be the Best

People. Performance. Purpose.

At Avis Budget Group, we’re driven to be the best vehicle rental company in the world, together. Our 25,000 employees raise the bar every day, bringing different perspectives, taking ownership, and leading with integrity. We’re defining the future of mobility with safe, sustainable solutions that move people, businesses, and communities forward.

The Transformation team drives cross-functional initiatives spanning Operations, Customer Experience, IT, Fleet, and more. This analyst will support the Strategic Initiatives Manager across multiple concurrent workstreams —keeping trackers current, building first-draft materials for senior stakeholders, supporting the corresponding teams, and ‘making sense’ of data to test our hypotheses.

Data & Insight

  • Use available AI/analytics tools to pull, validate, and shape data into insights that prove or reject current hypotheses
  • Flag inconsistencies or gaps in the data rather than passing them through unchecked
  • Interpret data to surface what matters — strong judgment on what a number is actually saying is essential

Workstream & Project Support

  • Maintain recurring trackers across active initiatives (rollout tracking, issue logs, project status)
  • Support multiple concurrent, non-linear workstreams — comfortable re-prioritizing as initiatives shift rather than expecting a single sequential project
  • Draft first-pass executive materials (decks, one-pagers) for the manager to refine

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Work directly with stakeholders across Operations, IT, CX, and vendor partners to gather input and follow up on action items
  • See how a given workstream connects to the broader initiative portfolio, not just its own scope — surfacing dependencies or overlaps to the manager
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with stakeholders at varying levels, including senior leadership

Perks You’ll Get:

  • Access to Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and Disability insurance
  • Eligible to elect other voluntary benefits including: Group Auto Insurance, Group Home Insurance, Pet Insurance, Legal Assistance, Identity Theft Protection, FSA, Accident Insurance, Critical Illness Insurance, and additional life insurance coverages
  • 401(k) Retirement Plan with company matched contributions
  • Full training to learn the business and enhance professional skills
  • Employee discounts, including discounted prices on the purchase of Avis/Budget cars
  • Access to an Employee Assistance Program for services including counseling, financial and legal consultation, referrals for care service and more

What We're Looking For:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to and following up with cross-functional partners
  • Genuine curiosity — willing to ask questions, including basic ones, rather than guessing or staying stuck
  • Attention to detail balanced with the ability to zoom out and see how pieces connect across initiatives
  • Comfort with ambiguity and shifting priorities across multiple simultaneous projects
  • Proficiency in Excel/PowerPoint; willingness to learn AI-assisted data tools and dashboarding platforms
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Not required, but working knowledge of SQL queries and Tableau or similar data visualization tools is a PLUS

The annual starting salary for this position is between $70,000 – $80,000 annually. Factors that may affect starting pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
