About the Role
The Strategic Customer Engagement Manager is a key contributor to South Asia Go-To-Market (GTM) Plan, responsible for fostering high-impact relationships and supporting large-scale strategic sales projects across the region.
Responsibilities

Engaging with the RAD to develop an Action Plan aiming to build Elsevier advocacy across the multiple customer segments targeted in the GTM Plan to support the strategic sales projects.

Leading consultative engagements by conducting capability assessments, needs analysis, and strategic planning to position Elsevier as a trusted knowledge partner for uplifting the quality of education & research through high quality content & structured capacity building initiatives.

Supporting the Sales Team, in the initial stages of the project including business development planning and pre-sales consultation with the strategic stakeholders.

Collaborating closely with Sales, Product, and Marketing teams to develop Value Stories/ Case Studies/Success Stroes aligned with South Asia’s GTM objectives, contributing insights that support market penetration and revenue growth in the targeted customer segments.

Preparing and present strategic recommendations, business cases, and progress reports to senior management and key stakeholders identified in each project (State Consortium/T4/Govt Consortiums/Emerging Markets)

Designing + implementing engagement strategies for large-scale deals, ensuring seamless delivery and enhanced value over long-term relationships.

Acting as a trusted advisor to high-value prospects, continually engaging with stakeholders to expand adoption + deepen the strategic partnership.

Monitoring market trends, competitor activities, & customer feedback, using insights to optimize customer engagement + strengthen Elsevier’s positioning.

Ensuring successful and on-budget delivery of complex solutions, continually evaluating opportunities for growth and further engagement within existing accounts.
Requirements

5 years’ experience of delivering change management initiatives.

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

Experience of working within a team structure and delivering according to agreed plan

Strong knowledge of MS Office suite.

Ability to identify and meet the unique needs of high-value customers within South Asia’s diverse market landscape.

Strong understanding of the South Asia market, with knowledge of its unique government and academic ecosystems.

Adept at developing and executing strategies that align with the South Asia GTM Plan while maximizing customer satisfaction and retention.
