SUMMARY: is looking for a talented Customer Success Manager with experience working with Hedge Funds & Asset Managers of Private Equity  who will manage a book of customer business. The Customer Success team serves as subject matter experts, trusted advisors, and advocates to’s customers. You will drive the continued success of our customers while helping to build a world-class Customer Success function. You will engage with accounts managing customers’ needs, ensuring product adoption and revenue retention.

A successful candidate will be highly strategic, analytical, resourceful, customer-focused, team-oriented, and will have an ability to work under time constraints to meet deadlines. We are looking for someone with a proven track record of managing a diverse set of customers while helping to build customer success programs in a leading alternative data company.


  • Own the onboarding, growth, support and ongoing relationship management for our key  investor customers
  • Work with your customers to drive engagement of Placer’s offering through identifying their pain points and providing them with creative ways of engaging with the data 
  • Work cross-functionally with Support, Product, Solutions Engineering and Insights teams, while driving value for accounts through a strategic, consultative approach
  • Identify opportunities, trends and blockers and convert them into opportunities to grow the business through innovation based upon customer needs
  • Actively use problem-solving and analytical skills to figure out how to maintain client happiness and deliver results
  • Represent the needs of top partners within the organization


  • 3+ years of account management at  at another Alternative Data vendor of Expert Network working with Hedge Fund or Private Equity customers 
  • Highly motivated, detail-oriented, with excellent interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills in ambiguous situations 
  • Be excited about working at a high-growth company and being part of a close-knit team
  • Ability to work in enterprise-level with multiple touch points and meetings with senior stakeholders 
  • Proven track record of cross selling into multiple teams within large organizations
  • Experience with engaging with post-sales and pre-sales with effective communication
  • Bachelor’s degree in a rigorous discipline
