Serve as a legal technology thought leader within Business Innovation, driving strategy, best-practice development, and adoption of iManage solutions. Plan and deliver consulting engagements, provide strategic advice and product demonstrations, mentor junior consultants, support UAT and deliverables, and liaise with Product, Engineering, Professional Services, Sales, and partners to influence product roadmap and customer success.

Being a Strategic Consultant at iManage Means…
You will be a a legal technology thought leader, you will work within our global Business Innovation Team, driving program strategy, process, collateral development, and change. Targeting customers, partner organizations, and internal iManage functions, your primary focus will be on emerging technologies, positioning iManage consultants as the advisors of choice for legal solutions – all influenced by your ability to understand and drive success for end users of iManage solutions.
You have broad, cross-disciplinary skills, with elements of business strategy, product use, product technical, consulting, and customer success. Your prior experience as a legal professional underpins your business relationships with a rich domain knowledge of sector working practice. You understand the legal industry decision-making process and the guidance required to reach a conclusion (strategic, product, process level, etc.)
iM Responsible For…

Acting as an iManage ambassador and facilitator with internal leadership teams, customer management teams, and end-users
Acting as an iManage ambassador and facilitator with iManage partners
Overseeing (and assisting in) the development, documentation, and scaling of best practices for a given iManage technology – with a view to driving adoption and meeting industry objectives
Working closely with internal stakeholders, Professional Services, Customer Success, Product, Marketing, and Sales functions – all of whom will look to you for guidance on decisions that affect end users
Working with internal stakeholders to build out scalable consulting frameworks, with a particular focus on business and non-technical workstreams, such as business strategy, requirements gathering, change management, information and data architectures
Planning consulting engagements with a view to establishing a shared understanding of customer requirements, working practices, and business philosophy, with a specific focus on 'what success looks like' at end user and organizational levels
Communicating strategic advice to senior stakeholders, occasionally in unfamiliar and complex situations
Acting as a trusted advisor, conducting product demonstrations in support of business cases and demonstrating best practice to clients
Delivering knowledge transfer sessions, supporting User Acceptance Testing with full coverage test cases, and creating client deliverables such as presentations and detailed design documentation (augmenting build and deployment guides, task lists, etc. with business use case language)
Becoming a leading subject matter expert in iManage technologies, the wider legal technology landscape, and our role within it
Mentoring and developing skills in junior consultants
Providing feedback on product usage and features requested at customer sites to our Engineering and Product teams as a driver for Product roadmap
Empowering teams within iManage to develop a rich understanding of lawyer needs, mindsets, and practices

iM Qualified Because I Have…

3+ years of experience working as a lawyer or 5+ years of professional experience working in a legal environment
An understanding of the legal technology landscape and market (Legal SaaS consulting experience, a distinct advantage)
The ability to build trust with demanding organizations such as law firms
The ability to think strategically, enjoy multi-tasking, be innovative and drive action accordingly
Excellent business analysis skills: having the ability to lead design sessions, an understanding of business and product usability, the ability to influence the outcomes of discovery and design sessions to align with best practices and can prioritize user & functional requirements. A demonstrated ability to understand and diagnose articulated and unarticulated user needs
Experience in design methodologies, e.g. persona identification, user research and process mapping
Prior experience conducting discovery, design, and implementation of legal specific solutions (e.g., contract automation, e-discovery, document management, knowledge management, etc.)
Excellent client-facing skills, including workshop planning, delivery, and documentation

Experience rolling out and building adoption programs for legal AI solutions
