About the Role

Riskified is growing our Business Development team in Brazil. This is a great opportunity to join an established, public company to further your career in business development at an industry-leading enterprise SaaS company. We have a team on the ground in LATAM, with offices in NYC and Tel Aviv.

This is not your typical Business Development opportunity. At Riskified, you’ll be generating and nurturing leads with enterprise and Fortune 500 companies in LATAM through creative and strategic research as well as networking.

Very successful candidates are able to identify a target’s needs and decision makers and then tailor their outreach accordingly. More than anything, we are seeking bright, driven people to join us and help drive revenue and make a direct impact on Riskified’s growth. What You'll Be Doing

  • Act as a business owner: Be an entrepreneur within our flexible global structure.
  • Build the business in Brazil: Although we have only been in the Brazilian market for three years, we already have important clients and spectacular results. Your role will be to bring in more clients like these, driving rapid growth in the region.
  • Comprehensive role: Play a broad role, from ideating and organizing events and lead generation campaigns to deep interaction with strategic prospects.
  • Relationship with major players: Develop and maintain relationships with large e-commerce companies (retail, travel, tickets, fashion, etc.), payment companies, and acquirers.
  • Interaction with internal teams: Understand and influence the offering of products and services to the Brazilian market, interacting directly with the global teams of partnerships, products, and marketing.
  • Mastery of the sales process: Focus on the initial stage, emphasizing relationship building through trade shows and events, direct approaches, and through partners.
  • Preference for direct interactions: Must prefer phone calls and face-to-face meetings rather than relying on emails and automated campaigns.
  • Adaptability: Quickly understand Riskified and its position within the payment technology and eCommerce sector. Highly successful candidates can identify the needs of target clients and their decision-makers, adjusting their approach accordingly.

Qualifications

  • Senior level: 8+ years in business development at the Enterprise level (large companies)
  • Experience in the fraud and/or payments market is highly valued
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree and completed postgraduate education
  • Languages: Fluent English is essential, Spanish is desirable
  • Ability to work in a dynamic sales environment with minimal supervision
  • Attention to detail with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Personal characteristics: Light-heartedness, proactivity, ownership, results-oriented, joy, hard work, commitment, strategic business vision
