Red Hat is seeking a Strategic Account Director to join our Enterprise Sales team in Melbourne, responsible for one of our most significant Financial Services customers.
In this role, you will own the overall account strategy, executive engagement, and commercial outcomes for a highly strategic enterprise account. You will be responsible for driving sustainable growth across Red Hat's portfolio, identifying new opportunities, building trusted executive relationships, and orchestrating cross-functional teams to deliver business outcomes for the customer.
This is a high-impact role requiring strong commercial leadership, enterprise sales expertise, and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments while delivering consistent revenue growth and strategic account expansion.
What you will doOwn the overall sales strategy, growth plan, and commercial outcomes for a strategic Financial Services account
Develop and execute multi-year account plans aligned to customer business priorities and technology transformation initiatives
Build and maintain trusted relationships with executive stakeholders across technology, operations, digital, and business functions
Identify, qualify, and progress strategic opportunities across Red Hat's portfolio, including hybrid cloud, automation, AI, application platforms, and services
Lead complex enterprise sales cycles from opportunity creation through negotiation, contracting, and closure
Coordinate and lead virtual account teams including Solution Architects, Specialists, Consulting, Services, Customer Success, and Partner resources
Position Red Hat as a trusted strategic advisor by aligning technology solutions to measurable business outcomes
Maintain strong pipeline health, forecast accuracy, and operational discipline to deliver consistent quarterly and annual performance
Drive customer expansion through new use cases, workload growth, platform adoption, and long-term strategic partnerships
Proven success in enterprise software sales, strategic account management, or complex solution selling within large enterprise organisations
Experience selling into Financial Services organisations and navigating complex stakeholder environments
Demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets within strategic or named accounts
Strong executive presence with the ability to build credibility and influence senior business and technology leaders
Experience developing and executing account strategies that drive long-term customer growth and business value
Excellent commercial, negotiation, and opportunity management skills
Ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams in complex enterprise sales engagements
Strong forecasting, pipeline management, and sales execution discipline
High levels of accountability, resilience, and ownership with a customer-first mindset
