General Role Description

Develop and lead Renewable Energy Systems strategic account development, new client acquisition, global account coordination, and sales leadership capability in order to expand market presence, strengthen key client relationships, and deliver sustained revenue growth across the Americas including Canada, United States, Mexico and Latin America, excluding Brazil


Role Accountabilities

·         Develop and execute strategic account development and new client acquisition plans across developers, owners, EPCs, and other Renewable Energy Systems market participants in the Americas to expand market presence and revenue growth

·         Identify and evaluate new client and growth opportunities through market intelligence, client engagement, competitive analysis, and industry relationship development to strengthen the Renewable Energy Systems opportunity pipeline

·         Build executive-level relationships with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders to create new business opportunities across the Renewable Energy Systems market segment in the Americas

·         Lead opportunity development, commercial strategy, contract negotiation, and account expansion to achieve bookings, revenue, margin, and strategic growth objectives

·         Coordinate with domestic, international, parent company, and group company organizations in order to maximize engagement and business growth with Renewable Energy Systems clients with global operations in the Americas

·         Establish and lead global account strategies to ensure consistent client engagement, business development, and commercial execution across the Americas

·         Serve as the primary Americas liaison for assigned global accounts to coordinate activities among clients, regional sales teams, and international business units

·         Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline and accurate forecasts in order to inform business planning and commercial decision-making

·         Lead, coach, and develop sales managers to strengthen commercial capability and succession readiness

·         Build commercial leadership capability across the organization by mentoring emerging sales leaders and sharing effective commercial practices in order to strengthen sales leadership depth and organizational readiness

·         Promote consistent sales methodologies, account-planning disciplines, and opportunity-management practices in order to improve commercial execution across the organization

Requirements

  • ·         Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent via education and/or work experience
  • ·         5 years’ experience in strategic sales, business development, account management, or commercial leadership
  • ·         Experience within utility-scale renewable energy markets
  • ·         Demonstrated success acquiring new clients and growing strategic accounts
  • ·         Demonstrated ability to develop executive client relationships and negotiate complex commercial agreements
  • ·         Experience leading and developing sales professionals and emerging leaders
  • ·         Demonstrated successful working relationships with clients, suppliers, and other internal and external contacts
  • ·         Demonstrated successful and positive personal leadership, interpersonal, organizational, administrative, and communication skills
  • ·         Demonstrated continuous improvement in areas of responsibility
  • ·         Proficiency in MS Office, CRM, and business management systems relevant to the role
  • ·         Availability to travel, domestically and internationally, approximately 50%, sometimes with limited notice

Preferred Qualifications

·         MBA or other advanced business degree

·         Experience leading global account programs and multinational client relationships

·         Demonstrated success developing strategic growth programs and enterprise client partnerships

·         Experience with utility-scale renewable energy project lifecycle, including developers, owners, EPCs, IPPs, utilities, or related market participants
