Instawork, a digital marketplace that connects local businesses with skilled hourly professionals across the U.S., is seeking a Strategic Account Manager, with a proven track record of success to join our rapidly growing team. Reporting to the Director of Strategic Accounts, this role serves as a critical member of the Account Management team and is responsible for ensuring the success of our largest partners.  As a Strategic Account Manager, you will have the opportunity to work closely with a variety of our existing strategic accounts, acting as a trusted business advisor, helping them effectively leverage our product and services to drive maximum impact for their business.
This role requires great relationship skills and the ability to provide a high level of service to our top partners. This is a results-driven position that requires both customer service and technical ability.
What you'll be doing:

  • Meet and exceed your growth goals through forging relationships with key decision-makers within a fixed book of existing strategic accounts, resulting in securing new business and growing overall partner revenue (expansion and retention)
  • You will own the full sales cycle within an existing portfolio of accounts, from lead to close - Prioritize your book of business, develop and execute on account plans for each individual account, including identifying new opportunities, leveraging data to build repeatable use cases, and establishing relationships across the organization to ultimately drive growth
  • Focus on keeping partners happy and growing our share of wallet with that partner
  • Maintain high partner satisfaction through excellent problem solving and support to ensure issue resolution and partner engagement
  • Manage projects involving complex work streams and cross-functional collaboration (internally and externally) to drive successful awareness and adoption of Instawork
  • Continuously escalate partner feedback to correct internal business stakeholders  to improve overall partner experience with Instawork’s product team
  • Stay up-to-date on our top partners' business, industry, and key objectives and challenges so that you can be a trusted ally in providing thought leadership
  • Educate and consult partners on the value of Instawork 
  • Complete formal executive-level QBRs, highlighting performance and establishing a clear commitment to maintain and grow partnership

Who you are:

  • 5+ years of industry experience either in software, human capital management Meet and exceed your growth goals through forging relationships with key decision-makers within a fixed book of existing strategic accounts, resulting in securing new business and growing overall partner revenue (expansion and retention)

  • 3+ years selling into the large enterprise segment
  • You are a scrappy, resourceful and creative problem solver who takes ownership of issues and proactively seeks timely resolution
  • You are a results-driven person who knows how to cultivate and maintain strong professional relationships with your top partners
  • Proven track record of delivering on quota, obtaining positive reviews, and managing a complex sales cycle involving multiple stakeholders (ideally with named accounts)
  • ​​Experience driving revenue growth and cross-selling within existing customers through strong account planning and the ability to align key stakeholders company-wide at each stage of the sales lifecycle
  • You work well with others in the organization to provide feedback and help create an environment of success
  • Strategic and creative thinking enables you to not only understand the complexities of different industries and customer trends but apply those insights to execute with excellence and deliver strong business results
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and creativity that sparks your capacity for building and growing the business and solving problems
  • Strong executive presence, excellent communication skills, and a consultative approach to identifying problems and finding solutions
  • Ability to travel (approximately 10-33% of your time) to visit different partners in person within a state(s) you support
  • May require some work on weekends depending on customer needs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail and experience managing large projects preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes

For CA-based applicants:

  • The base salary for this position is $100,000 + eligible for OTE.
  • This position is eligible for equity in the form of stock options
